Few know that breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women in Mexico. For some time now, Poett has carried out the campaign “A tie that unites us” in that country, that through different annual actions remind women that these statistics are reversible: the disease can be curable if detected early, and for this the main measure is self-examination.
This year from Interactivity we had the challenge of thinking how we could, from the digital point of view, turn a specific action into a long-term commitment that will invite women to think about the importance of preventing the disease. In this way, we developed #AgendaVida, an application that reminds whoever receives it monthly, to have a breast exam. The reminder could be sent by a Facebook notification or by e-mail.
The goal of the action was not only to raise awareness about the problems surrounding breast cancer, but to involve all the actors giving them the real possibility of potentially saving a life just by clicking. The brand also made a donation to the Foundation Cim*ab (the NGO that is supporting the cause) for each one of the pink Poett products (Spring and Baby fragrances) sold during the promo season.
