Sony Argentina presented Bloggie, its new video camera. And as a part of this launch, they proposed what they called the “Bloggie Challenge”.
First, they called on three of the best known and respected bloggers in the market: Milton Vieyra, El Capitán Intriga and Pablo Sanchez. They brought them together and proposed them a challenge that starts today and will last for two weeks, and consists of giving each of them a Bloggie, letting them film what they come up with and upload it to a specially designed channel on Youtube for action.
Through their blogs and their followers on social media, these three Argentine bloggers will invite you to vote for their best videos on the contest website. The one who gathers more votes will be awarded one of these Sony cameras, and will win another one that will be raffled off among the readers of his blog.
The action aims to make clear the benefits of the Bloggie product: great image quality (HD recording) and the ease of uploading videos to the web.
It is worth quoting the post that Eduardo Arcos wrote a few weeks ago in Alt 1040 regarding how badly some PR agencies understand the phenomenon of bloggers. “I think the Bloggie Challenge is a good example of how you can communicate a product launch by making bloggers part of the action, rather than passive victims of a cold press release”.
I leave you with the video that presents the Bloggie Challenge. Now you only have to vote for the best!
